Our clients needed a
downstairs WC and washand
basin. They however had a
problem with available
drainage. The available
drainage was estimated to be
around 10 feet underground
with the manhole being in a
neighbours garden !! and
approximately 10m away from
the proposed new wc position,
it presented a very, very
expensive excavation to run
drainage to the position of the
new room. To complicate
matters the existing soil & vent stack is internal and inaccessible
above floor level and barely accessible below. Also it’s on the
other side of the house behind a fitted kitchen.
To get over these problems 50+ Crossgates Plumbers fitted a
Sanicompact wc. This is a back to the wall toilet and does not
have a cistern. It has a built in macerator which is a powerful
waste disposal unit and needs a smaller waste connection than a
standard wc.
These units do have their limitations but in this situation came
to the rescue and made possible the downstairs wc that the
clients wanted. What limitations ??? Available in white only
